So, I leave for the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave this coming Sunday. These past few weeks I've just been studying for my finals and hanging out with people, soaking in their company as much as possible.
My cousin, Blake, came to visit me last week, and it was so much fun. We didn't even do anything major, it was just great having him here. On Wednesday, we joined some of my friends who wanted to go play soccer. I think Blake enjoyed that. :) Then that night we went to a pub to watch the Champions League final (the European soccer tournament-ish). It was Manchester United vs. Barcelona. Even though the majority of the crowd surrounding us were HUGE Man U fans, most of our little group were routing for Barcelona. (I even wore my "I heart Barcelona" shirt I bought during spring break). Hooray for us, 'cuz Barcelona creamed Man United - woo hoo!!! It was 2-0: Barcelona scored a goal in the first half and then another in the second. Oh man, it was great. Blake said he didn't even think it was really that AMAZING of a game, but being in that atmosphere, amongst true fans of the sport, definitely raised the spirit and fun. It was a good time. :)
I'm still working on getting my spring break pictures posted. I just have Rome left, but there are soooo many, it's taking me a while to upload and caption them. Perhaps I'll be better able to get it finished once I'm home...
Alright, I may not have a chance to write again before I'm back in the States, so I will give you all an Ireland-farewell now.
Cheers!
