Bordeaux, France

Here is our lovely little lunch that we prepared at Julia's house. This is actually in the guest house, where we stayed:

The view from our door:

Her house is actually a chateau from the 16th century:

Here's part of the main house:

Dog #2, Busco:

Outside our front window. There are vineyards EVERYWHERE:

Sydney, Julia, Melissa:

Busco is not allowed inside at all, but he sure liked to push his luck:

"Okay, fine," he says:

View of the inside of our little guest house:

On the train ride back to Paris. Here's Little Nicolas, always faithful:

Jen, me:

Little Nicolas with this cake thing that Julia said we should try. (I didn't like it, but that's not saying much):

Jen let Little Nicolas listen to her ipod with her:

Paris, France

Little Nicolas (it was just too good to pass up):

Pretty flowers on the ground:

My favorite type of tree!

Ah, weeping willows are just so great:

Melissa, Sydney:

Notre Dame:

Cool trees outside of Notre Dame:

Little Nicolas with a baguette:

Look! It's Little Nicolas in French!!

Little Nicolas at the Louvre:

Melissa, Jen, Sydney after our tour through the Louvre (which we got in for free because we were under 26 - woo hoo!):

BEAUTIFUL sky:

Melissa's such a star:

Gotcha, Jen!

Peekaboo, Sydney!

Little Nicolas likes to read, just like anyone else:

Yep. Little Nicolas. Eiffel Tower:

He's so huge!!

This is my favorite:

There were horse and carriage rides around the Eiffel Tower:

Haha. This is for my brother. Doesn't it look like Blue??

Close-up of Blue (it's actually a "please silence your cell phones" sign, but the resemblance is uncanny):

The most amazing b&b/hostel we stayed at our last night in Paris. It was out in the country, and it was so clean, and the family who ran it was soooo nice! I would go back to Paris just to stay there again:

Look at how clean it is! I feel an emotional swell coming on. It's just so beautiful:

This is Jan (pronounced "yahn") we met there. He's from Brussels, the Dutch-speaking part.

Little Nicolas says it's time for bed now:
